Congratulations! You’ve chosen Jimani to take your food shop’s sales and checkout experience to the next level. But how do you optimally set up the system? In this blog, we walk you through the process step by step, from the first login to launching your webshop and checkout.

  1. Company Details and Users: Everything starts with a strong foundation. After creating your account, navigate to the settings for your company details. Here you add your company’s name, location and logo. This logo will also be used in communications to your guests. Don’t forget to add your team members as users. By making smart use of staff rights and user management, you ensure that everyone has exactly the right tools to work efficiently.
  2. Language and Localization: Jimani is internationally oriented. Immediately set the desired languages for both the dashboard and the guest interface. This is essential for holiday parks with many foreign guests: after all, they book much faster in their own language.
  3. Categories: Now you will build your menu. Think of this as the logical groupings of your offerings, for example: Drinks, Snacks, Pizzas, or Hamburgers.
  4. Products: You link these directly to the correct category. Here you elaborate on your offerings in detail; add your Coca-Cola to the drinks category, your Pizza Margherita to the pizzas, and so on.
  5. Supplements: Ideal for extra sales (mayonnaise, bacon, extra cheese).
  6. Labels: Use labels to immediately stand out in the webshop, such as Vegan, Spicy, or New.
  7. Tags: Use these to provide extra product information, such as 100% chicken meat or Gluten-free.
  8. Traffic Restriction and Time Blocking: To prevent your kitchen from becoming overloaded, set smart restrictions per unit of time. Here you set how many new orders are allowed to come in per unit of time (e.g., per 15 minutes). This way you always maintain control over the workload, whether it concerns delivery, pick-up, or ordering on location.
  9. Customer Information: With Jimani, you have control over the data. You decide which fields the customer must fill in (e.g., email and telephone number for delivery) and which are optional. Do you want to keep the barrier low for quick pick-up orders? Then only ask for the bare essentials. This way you optimize the conversion.
  10. Customer Contact: A good experience doesn’t stop after payment. Set up your automatic emails for order confirmations or a thank you afterward. You can fully personalize these so that they always match the atmosphere of your business.
  11. Feedback via the Survey Module: Do you want to know how customers experienced their meal or the delivery service? Create a survey within Jimani that is automatically sent after the reservation. This data is worth its weight in gold for improving your services.
  12. Setting up Payment Options: Make it easy for your customers by linking your payment provider to Jimani. This gives you certainty in advance and ensures fast processing via the Mollie payment link.
  13. Installing the Widget: The last step: the widget installation. As we discussed earlier, this is a simple piece of code that you place on your website. You can fully customize the widget in your own style (white label) and place it on an unlimited number of pages.
  14. Did this sound like a lot of work? Fortunately, you don’t have to do the setup entirely yourself. During registration, you can choose from a lot of sample data. Choose the categories and products that suit your business and voilà, the data is immediately loaded. All you have to do is check the opening hours, current prices, and your own texts for the surveys and emails.

Now you are ready for the start! With these settings, the foundation of your Jimani platform is solid. You are now ready to generate more revenue through smart digital sales and a flawless checkout experience.

One last point: The Jimani software system is complex on the back end, but very user-friendly on the front end. This means that you can do it all yourself, without technical help. We have added a list of warnings: when something is not set up correctly, you will receive a notification that you can solve with the push of a button. Very convenient!
